How much does a tow cost?
Towing prices vary because every job is different. The cost depends on the type of vehicle, the distance, how the vehicle is parked or positioned, the time of day, and whether special equipment is needed. Day and Night Towing explains the known pricing factors before we send a truck, so you understand what affects the amount before you commit.
Why we do not publish one flat price?
A tow is not one product. Moving a passenger car a few miles is a different job from pulling a truck out of a ditch or removing a vehicle from an underground garage. Publishing a single price would either mislead you or leave out the details that actually matter. Instead, we explain the factors and give you the clearest estimate we can before dispatch.
What affects your price?
- Type of vehicle. Light duty, medium duty, and heavy duty require different trucks, equipment, and time.
- Vehicle condition. Whether the vehicle starts, rolls, and steers, whether it has a flat tire, and whether the keys are available.
- Distance. Mileage and destination affect the total, especially for longer transports.
- Access. A vehicle in a tight parking space, an underground garage, a low-clearance structure, a driveway, mud, sand, or off-road will take more time and equipment.
- Recovery work. Winch-outs, off-road recovery, and extractions are different from a standard tow.
- Time of day. Traffic and after-hours conditions can affect the cost.
- Special equipment. Flatbed, dollies, motorcycle trailer, 4×4 capability, or heavy-duty equipment when required.
- Storage or impound rules. Private-property impound and vehicle release involve storage, documentation, and required procedures.
Why a quote can change?
We give you the clearest estimate we can from what you tell us on the phone. If the driver arrives and the actual conditions are different than described, for example the vehicle is in a much tighter space, will not roll, or needs additional equipment or a second operator, we will explain the change before any additional work begins. You decide before we proceed.
Help us give you an accurate estimate
The more accurate your details, the more accurate the estimate. Have this ready when you call:
- Year, make, and model of the vehicle
- Exact pickup location and where the vehicle is parked
- Where the vehicle needs to go
- What is wrong with the vehicle
- Whether it starts, rolls, and steers
- Whether the keys are available
- Whether it is in a tight space, a garage, off-road, or stuck
We may also ask you to text a few photos of the vehicle and where it is parked. That is not extra work for the sake of it. It helps us send the right truck and the right equipment the first time, which protects both your vehicle and your final cost.
Private-property impound charges
Impound-related charges follow the applicable rate and procedure requirements that apply to private-property removals, and can include storage depending on how long the vehicle remains at the lot. For a current total on a specific vehicle, call 818-701-5911. See our Vehicle Release page for what to bring and how to pick up your vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does towing cost?
It depends on the vehicle type, distance, access, condition, time of day, whether special equipment or recovery work is needed, and whether storage or impound rules apply. Call 818-701-5911 and we will explain the factors that apply to your situation.
Why did the price change when the driver arrived?
The estimate is based on what was described on the phone. If the actual conditions are different, for example, the vehicle will not roll or is in a much tighter space than described, additional time or equipment may be needed. The driver will explain any change before proceeding
Do you charge more at night or during rush hour?
Time of day and traffic conditions can affect the cost. We will explain that before dispatch.
Why do you ask for photos?
Photos help us confirm the vehicle and how it is parked so we send the right truck and equipment the first time. That avoids delays and unnecessary extra charges.
What payment methods do you accept?

Are you the cheapest towing company?
We do not compete on being the cheapest. We focus on sending the right truck, explaining the cost factors up front, and handling your vehicle properly.
Do you have Spanish-speaking support?
